Message From Our Parish Priest
Dear Beloved People of God,
With a heavy heart and deep sorrow, we know the news of the passing of our Holy Father, Pope Francis, Servant of the Servants of God.
As our shepherd and spiritual father, Pope Francis led the Church with humility, courage, and a love that radiated Christ’s mercy to the ends of the earth. His words stirred hearts, his witness inspired millions, and his tireless dedication to the poor, the forgotten, and the broken reminded us of the Gospel’s deepest truths.
Though we grieve, we do so as a people of faith. The Lord who called Jorge Mario Bergoglio from the streets of Buenos Aires to the Chair of Peter has now called him home. We entrust him to the infinite mercy of God, whom he served with all his heart, especially in the simplicity of his life and the tenderness of his pastoral care.
In this time of mourning, I invite all of you to join in the Holy Eucharist today at 7 PM for the repose of his soul. Let us gather for a Mass of Remembrance and offer our love, sorrow, and hope to the Lord. We also pray for the Church throughout the world as we await the guidance of the Holy Spirit for the election of a new pope.
May the soul of Pope Francis rest in the peace of Christ, whom he followed so closely. And may we honor his memory not only in word, but in the way we live—choosing mercy, seeking justice, walking humbly with our God.
In communion and sorrow,
Parish Priest
