Baptism

REQUIREMENTS :
FOR PARENTS MARRIED IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
A. Baptism seminar ( Every 1st. Monday Of The Month )
B. Baptism application form ( to be distributed after the baptism seminar )
C. Photocopy of catholic church marriage certificate .
D. Photocopy of child's birth certificate.
FOR GODPARENTS:
a.. For Single; - Copy of Baptismal Certificate.
b. For Married - copy of baptismal Certificate OR Church Married Certificate.

FOR PARENTS NOT YET MARRIED IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.

Confession

The Sacraments are a wonderful gift to us from god inviting us into deeper intimacy with him. So that children Can Gain the full benefit of the experience, The preparation is vitally important. Unlike baptism and confirmation, reconciliation is a sacrament that can be received as often as one wants, and it strengthens us with grace each time it is received.

Confessions is held in the Main Church.

Confirmation

Confirmation is the sacrament that completes baptism, In it's, the gift of the Holy Spirit is bestowed upon us. Anyone who freely decides to live a life as God’s child and asks for God’s spirit under the signs of the imposition of hands and anointing with chrism receives the strength To witness to God’s love and might in word and deed. He/she is now a Full-fledged, responsible member of The Catholic Church.

Eucharist

The Eucharist, The living and real presence of Jesus Christ completes the christian initiation. Through this Sacrament Of Initiation, We participate with the whole community of believers in the Lord’s own sacrifice.

Marriage

MARRIAGE REQUIREMENT Those who intend to get married in the catholic church, should inform the Parish Priest at least THREE MONTHS Prior to the Marriage. Such early notification is necessary so that various documents may be obtained and all the relevant marriage formalities should be completed.
Certificate Of Baptism (Can.1055) ORIGINAL, NOT OLDER THAN 6 MONTHS. Certificate Of Confirmation (Can.1065) ORIGINAL Certificate Of “Freedom To Marry” From the Priest of the Parish where baptized Marriage Preparation Course Certificate *** Above Certificates are to be submitted in original and are to be recently issued (not Older than six months)
Passport copy and valid residence permit. Two photographs ( PASSPORT SIZE) Letter of singleness from the respective consulate / embassy if married : TRUE COPY OF YOUR CIVIL MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE . Couples who wish to get married at “The Catholic Church Of Our Lady Of The Rosary” Doha Need:
An appointment with the Parish Priest, in order to have the pre-nuptial enquiry. The couple is responsible for wedding arrangements such as choir, church decoration, mass booklets etc. The choice of readings and printing of mass booklets must be done in consultation with the priest.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSE
Marriage and the family are the foundation of society and that happy, stable marriages and families make a strong society. Today the attacks on the sanctity and stability of marriage and the family are a matter of serious concern. It is therefore very important that our catholic couples be well prepared to receive the sacrament of marriage.
The catholic church insists on attending the marriage preparation course by the couple before their intended date of entering into the sacrament of matrimony. The marriage preparation course is not just a requirement of the church to get married. It is also meant to help an adult, have a realistic look at how He/she can make the sacramental marriage work and grow, In and through the relationship as husband and wife, every day. Participation in the marriage preparation course is a pre-requisite to receive the sacrament of matrimony in the catholic church. The course may be completed at preferably two months before the marriage.
REQUIRED TO SUBMIT:
a. Passport Copy
b. Baptism Certificate
c. Fee of QR 75.00
Marriage Preparation Course is held on the 2nd Friday of every month from 7:30am – 5:30 Pm. Participants must attend the FULL Course. Those who arrived late or miss out sessions, for any reason, will be required to REGISTER for the next course. Certificates will be issued only on completion of the Full Course. To ensure the correctness of the names on the certificates, names are required to be written in BLOCK LETTERS while registering at the parish office.
Only registered participants will be allowed in the hall. Walk-in registration will not be entertained. It is suggested that registration for the course be done at least three weeks in advance, as the number of participants is limited, on a First-Come First-served Basis.

Rite Of Christian Initiation Of Adults / Ordo Initiationis Christianae Adultorum. (R.C.I.A / O.I.C.A )

There are ( 3 ) three sacraments of christian initiation. Baptism, Confirmation, and the Holy Eucharist, "Are The Sacraments Christian Initiation". They ground the common vocation of all Christ Disciples, A vocation of Holiness and to the Mission of Evangelizing the world. They confer the graces they needed for the life according to the spirit during this life of pilgrims on the March towards the homeland. ( Catechism Of The Catholic Church # 1533 )

ADULT BAPTISM REQUIREMENTS;
1. Passport Photocopy
2. Qatar ID Photocopy
3. Proof Of No Baptism:
* Letter From The Parishes Where You Resided.
* Letter Of Parents to Certify no Baptism.
4. Baptismal Certificate of the Godparent
5. Attend catechism for 3( three ) consecutive Fridays from 6:00PM To 9:00pm ZOOM.
6. If Baptized in other domination please provide Baptismal Certificate.
7. Registration fee : 150 QR (Qatari Riyals )

ADULT CONFIRMATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Catholic Baptismal Certificate.
2. Qatar ID Photocopy;
3. Passport Photocopy:
4 . Baptismal or Confirmation Certificate of the Godparent.
5. Attend catechism for 3 consecutive Fridays from 6:00PM - 9:00PM ZOOM.

The Anointing Of The Sick

The sacrament of the anointing of the sick offers, A Prayer for Healing, Hope and Strength and is intended for a catholic at the beginning of a serious illness, Before surgery or weakened due to age or chronic infirmity. Viaticum, “Food For The Journey”, Is Holy Communion with special Prayers for the dying and serves as the “last Rites” for catholics who are terminally ill and in the last stages of Life.
